FrONT DESK
Description:
Arq Mountain Centre is a climbing gym in Cranbrook, BC. We provide a variety of programming for all ages and aim to inspire movement by creating a welcoming environment for everyone in our community. We are seeking a qualified candidate to help run our front desk.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer service
-
Retail sales of climbing equipment
-
Barista
-
New climber orientation
-
Perform regular safety rounds of the gym

Cleaning
-
Conduct top rope and lead belay tests
Desired Qualifications:

Customer service experience

Experience and passion for climbing and desire to share that passion with others

A good work ethic including timeliness, dependability, and excellent communication skills

Availability on weekends and during the day on weekdays a must

Coach
Description:
Arq Mountain Centre is a climbing gym in Cranbrook, BC. We provide a variety of programming for all ages and aim to inspire movement by creating a welcoming environment for everyone in our community. We are seeking an individual that is able to inspire young climbers to reach their goals while teaching safety, gym etiquette, climbing skills, and belaying skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Working with kids ages 4-16

Managing groups of kids and ability to keep them in a controlled environment

Teaching kids climbing and belaying skills
-
Making lesson plans for each specific class
Desired Qualifications:

Previous coaching experience
-
Ability to top rope belay
-
Commitment to safety
-
Experience and passion for climbing and a desire to share that passion with others

A good work ethic including timeliness, dependability, and communication skills

Availability during after school hours, specifically between 4pm-8pm

Ability to adapt lesson plans based on how busy our facility is

Birthday Party Facilitator
Description:
Arq Mountain Centre is a climbing gym in Cranbrook, BC. We provide a variety of programming for all ages and aim to inspire movement by creating a welcoming environment for everyone in our community. We are seeking 1-2 individuals to run birthday parties on Saturdays and Sundays, these individuals are the face of fun in the gym. They must be enthusiastic to help these groups have the best possible experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Working with kids age 3-12
-
Setting up and putting away tables and chairs in our party room
-
Cleaning of the party room after each party as well as our jungle gym and foam blocks
-
Going over rules and safety in the gym to each party
-
Belaying the party participants and assisting them in getting on climbing gear
Desired Qualifications:

Availability Saturdays and Sundays
-
Experience and passion for climbing
-
Able to top rope belay
-
A good work ethic including timeliness, dependability, and communication skills
